The food here is really good! It's probably one of the better Mexican spots I've been to on Long Island. The outside is a little shady looking and if you're eating in, don't expect much. It's very no frills and located in the back of a strip mall that you can completely miss! Smells like weed as you're walking up, probably due to the various other store fronts, but if you don't mind all of that, you won't be disappointed. Their gigante burrito is enough for 2!

Mexican Grill is a gem!! Nothing I say hasn't already been written before about Mexican grill. The tacos are amazing! Simple, the way their supposed to be. Just a few ingredients with amazing flavor. If you like all the cream and extras, they got that too. And if you are really in the mood to eat, the burritos are absolute monsters and loaded with goodness!

Their food taste is not the same like before was very unhappy plus the red hot sauce what they were known was not at all spicy like before and the prices have gone so up hopefully it becomes better . We had vegetarian burritos and jelpeno poppers . We use to love eating before and now not that good

Really sorry to say this, because the staff was very good to me. The food has NO taste... like, none. I lived with a mexican family for years and I was craving flautas y tostadas. I usually make them myself but I was tired and wanted something comforting. Not even the crema has flavor... The pulled meat almost tastes watery? Please also, if you're delivering tostadas, don't put the tostada under 1000 lbs of wet tomatos, it comes as mush. I got a plate of pulled meat, water, and tomatoes instead. Place the tostadas on top, so when the customer receives them we can put the toppings on atleast... I was really disappointed.
I don't think I've ever tasted more bland food and for it to be Mexican food is the strangest thing... I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even use salt and pepper. The salsa doesn't even have taste. Is this a white owned mexican restaurant?
I had to put my own salsa on the food to enjoy it even a little bit, and it was hard to even get flavor with my own lol. I also thought I had covid for a second while trying to taste the food.
I'm not someone who eats a ton of sodium and junk food, so bland food is OKAY. But no one wants mexican food for health or without seasoning... that's the antithesis to mexican food.

Just like other reviewers, I read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. Boy, was I delighted. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and I have to admit I probably never would have visited had it not been for the good reviews.
It's a small shop, only a few tables, but quaint and inviting. The young man at the counter who took our order was very friendly, offering suggestions from the menu. There was a salsa bar offering different condiments, including a delightful grilled tomato salsa, with the perfect amount of heat and lots of fresh cilantro flavor.
I went for broke and ordered the mammoth Burrito "Gigante", or as I dubbed it, "Death by Burrito." This thing was huge, filled with grilled steak, peppers, onions, rice, and beans. I ordered mine
"Enchilada Style", covered with a savory and slightly sweet red sauce and tons of ooey-gooey cheese, and it came with crispy corn chips, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream on the side. I could barely eat half this thing, but I'm looking forward to the other half for lunch tomorrow.
My girlfriend had the delectable fish tacos, made with red snapper with cabbage and a sauce that tasted a little bit like tartar when she squeezed a lemon on them. Very tasty and light.
The prices are very reasonable, and there are a lot of dishes to choose from here. Nothing we tried was overly spicy or over-salted like other places. If you love Mexican food, do yourself a favor.
Drive away from the Bell and find this place, and come hungry.
