Had a mishap with my flute that required immediate attention. Plus I had a tenor sax neck that needed new cork. Called Family Melody Centers and spoke to Nick the resident woodwind repairman. When I got there, found Family Melody Centers is a state-of-the-art repair facility (it's been years since I been here). Nick was able to see me right away. Everyone there is friendly. While my flute and sax neck was worked on, I checked out the store and also purchased a neat little music manuscript book for my student. Fair price. FYI When I was a kid I came here for music lessons back in the 1970s. Flute plays way better than before and the neck cork was perfect. Will bring all my instruments here for repair. Highly recommend! Family Melody Center is a community treasure!

I bring my children’s instruments in for repairs and service and always have a very good experience. I recently had a much bigger issue with a badly damaged instrument. Kathy was unbelievably helpful in attempting to solve my issue, taking time to look at emailed pictures and discussing options with me right away. Outstanding customer service! No wonder they have been in business so long!

Came here after moving to suffolk county as my usual repair man is now too far away. Took a chance off a reccomendation from a friend and very glad I followed through. Special shout out to their woodwind repair person Nick. I got both alto and baritone saxes overhauled and they play better than when I got them now! Very reasonable pricing. Would highly reccomend

I was rushing to my gig and forgot a music stand. This place is the best! This is an awesome mom and pop operation that does a fantastic job serving the needs of their community. Every reasonable need for a musician, student or professional is stocked and the woman who helped me could not have been kinder and friendlier. I'm not from the area but would think of this place immediately if I ever needed anything.

Been doing business with them for over 30 years with lessons and instruments for my kids. Now it's for my grandchildren. They are so amazing...my granddaughter forgot her instrument in school the day before a homecoming parade. Family melody was contacted and they gladly lent her the instrument she needed... at no charge and without any legal paperwork. Now that is trust. Yes they know us for a very long time, but I think they went above and beyond in saving the day. A true example of how a community should work. Kudos.
